Fargo Welcomes Lindbergh 35k

Fargo Welcomes Lindbergh (1927)
David Anderson, photographer

Three months earlier, this young flier from Little Falls, Minnesota, captured the country's imagination with the world's first non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic from New York to Paris.

His visit to Fargo was part of an 82-city tour promoting the development of local airports. Two weeks later, Fargo entered into a lease for the land which is now Hector Airport.
